The Montessori Early Primary program is built on the belief that the child comes first, and every moment in the classroom is guided by that philosophy. Each day brings new opportunities for children to see, feel, explore, and grow through meaningful, hands-on experiences. Montessori educators treat every child with respect, offering gentle guidance and low-key discipline that supports independence and emotional wellbeing.

Our infants program provides a warm, nurturing environment where babies can explore, bond, and reach early developmental milestones.

Montessori School of San Diego offers one toddler classroom for children 18 months - 3 years.
Our Montessori toddler program transcends traditional childcare by offering a purposefully designed environment that nurtures independence and exploration. Our teachers observe each child’s unique interests to introduce personalized activities that stimulate curiosity. By focusing
on language, concentration, and coordination, we support your child’s holistic development—socially, emotionally, and cognitively.

Montessori School of San Diego offers three primary classrooms for children ages 3-6. The classrooms have Montessori materials designed to fit individual children's needs to create meaningful learning experiences that maximize each child's ability. Content learning includes
social interaction, practical life, sensorial areas, language, math, botany, zoology, history, geography, music, and art. These layered strands of curriculum build progressively as a student advances through the Montessori educational levels.

Montessori School of San Diego offers one elementary classroom for children ages 6-9. The elementary program extends the primary philosophy, providing a self-paced curriculum designed to protect and strengthen every student’s confidence. In the elementary program students aren't just learners—they are active members of a community who learn to ask big questions, think for
themselves, and take charge of their own education. We cultivate critical thinkers who take ownership of their education, building a foundation of resilience and curiosity that lasts a lifetime.

Summer School is similar to the standard school year with continuing academic work; however, more time is set aside for enrichment activities such as art, music, themed days, and special activities.

August Camp offers a dynamic blend of indoor and outdoor experiences designed to spark curiosity and joyful learning. Children explore arts, crafts, music, and hands-on creative projects while also enjoying movement activities like Playball, Jumper time, and swimming.
The Montessori School of San Diego, established in 1975, currently serves approximately 80 children ages 3 to 9 in a setting that reflects the authentic Montessori approach.
Our four classrooms are designed as mixed age communities, with three Primary environments for ages 3 to 6 and one Elementary environment for ages 6 to 9, allowing children to learn from one another and progress at their own pace.
Rooted in experiential learning, each classroom provides freedom of movement, self direction, and opportunities for children to build independence through the use of traditional Montessori materials guided by certified Montessori teachers.
In addition to this core foundation, students enjoy enriching classes in dance, art, and physical education, while elementary children also participate in computer instruction and Spanish language classes. This blend of tradition and enrichment supports the whole child and nurtures a lifelong love of learning.
Montessori School of San Diego lays the foundation for confidence, curiosity, and lifelong learning by nurturing a child’s early developmental milestones.
